How would you know if they are right for you?

Do you find yourself wondering why perfumes/fragrances are marketed as gender defined? Same here. Let’s talk about it.
Now we all love the alluring sensuality of what call women’s fragrances. However, I know I can’t be the only one thinking they sometimes smell all too similar across different brands.
For instance, most florals smell the same, as do the gourmands, and let’s not forget the fresh/fruity ones. For instance, if you tell me that you love the floral freshness of Versace’s Bright Crystal, I’d immediately suggest that you try Coach’s EDT fragrance, or Marc Jacobs’s Daisy Eau So Fresh, or even Geparlys’s Fancy Blue Lady.
Why?
They all have similar white floral fresh notes that you lean into, so it’s a given you’d love the same combination of notes from another brand or designer.
This can be repeated throughout most women’s fragrance families.
So is it for you?
That’s for you to decide to be honest. Fragrance is interchangeable and really has no gender. It’s just marketed that way to maximize profits for most (not all) brands or designers. However they do tend to enhance a woman’s scent without overwhelming her. They do lend to the sensuality of what women are known to embody. Most notes in a woman’s fragrance will actually blend perfectly with her natural body chemistry.
However, this doesn’t mean it’s for you. What if you hate soft, feminine smelling scents? What if you smell sour instead of sweet once it combines with your natural scent.
This is where that interchangeable piece comes in. Give a the unisex or men’s fragrance a while instead.
Now let’s go discover some fragrances, and see what works best for you!
